Christmas in Ohio

We spent the night in Ohio on Friday night. We had a great time. Here are a few things that we did...
Asher drove Maizie's old car around the basement.

Asher also played in the basement with all of Mommy and Uncle Andy's old toys.

Levi did a lot of hanging out and looking cute.

We lounged.

We opened presents.
We opened more presents.
We opened even more presents
We napped.

We cuddled.

We admired how beautiful Mama is.
We laughed at Grandpa.
We climbed on Grandpa.
We had the best time.
Merry Christmas,

Mark, Allyson, Asher, and Levi

Update!

Where have we been? Good question! Here is a quick run down in no particular order...

Mark and I ran a 1/2 marathon. So glad we did it, so happy it is over!

We went to Ohio for Thanksgiving. Fun was had by all:)

We went to a Christmas parade. Asher had cotton candy for the first time. It basically changed his life:)

The boys took lots of baths. Bath time is really fun around here.

Mom came in for the week and we made lots of yummy Christmas treats and the boys had lots of fun Grandma time!

Asher is talking up a storm, cracking us up by the minute and becoming the best big brother Levi could have asked for. Levi is eating lots of "real" food, crawling, pulling up, and developing such a fun little personality.

We are headed to Ohio this weekend for an early Christmas and to Phoenix on Christmas Eve. We are so looking forward to all of the family time that is in our near future!

Merry almost Christmas!

Asher's 1st Buckeye Game.

Saturday was a big day for Asher. He went to his first big college football game! We were just a little excited...:)The Buckeye's were playing at IU and we weren't going to miss it. Dad, aka Grandpa, came over to go with us. Uncle Andy and Aunt Megan sent Asher an awesome jersey in the mail the other day. He looked perfect! As you can see by the picture he was so happy to finally be heading to the game!

Once we got to the game, we ate dinner by the car and headed over to the field. IU had a mini field area in one end zone where kids could play. Asher had a great time playing and seeing all the big boys warm up.

Oh....and Urban was just hanging around down by us too. We are on a first name basis:)

This was our view of the field. It was an UGLY game...but Ohio State won and that is all that mattered!

By the middle of the 3rd quarter Asher gave up:)

Love making memories with my little family:)

Whoopsies:)

This big guy...

...and this little guy...

...have the worst blogging Mommy ever! I haven't blogged since June!

Whoopsies:)

So, I decided that today was a new day to start fresh. Being a working Mommy of two doesn't leave much time but I am determined to do better so that my boys have some memories to read about one day.

Happy Monday!

Hoarder.

Asher hoards. He can't help himself. If you were to look at the floorboards of our cars and saw random clothes/toys everywhere it would be a direct result of Asher. When we head out the door to go anywhere, he immediately grabs as many things as he can get his hands on and heads for the car. We went out to dinner tonight with some friends. I looked back at him before we got to the restaurant to see that he had put an extra t-shirt on his head, was clutching onto a pillow pet, and had also brought a truck and a bus with him. What a silly kid.

His proud mother,

Family 5K

Mark and I have been doing the couch to 5K running program. It is a 9 week program that gets you ready to run 3.1 miles at one time. Mark signed us up for a 5K in Louisville for June 2nd. The only problem with this is that we were only 6 weeks into the program! I was a little nervous this morning because I really wanted to run the whole time. The only problem was that I was pushing Asher in a stroller and my longest stretch of running without walking had only been 20 minutes. Yikes!

Here is a picture of us pre-race. Mark made a goal for us to finish in under 32 minutes. I said "Sure!" but in my head was thinking "yeah, right."

Asher looks a little perplexed in this picture, but he really was having a good time:)

This is basically what Levi did the whole time. Strollers make him sleepy:)

This is us post-race. I am happy to report that we ran the entire time and finished in 31 minutes and 50 seconds! Holy moly, I couldn't believe it. Mark could have run much faster, but he graciously ran with me the whole time. What a good guy:)

Graduation

Graduation is such a bittersweet time for us as a youth pastor and youth pastor's wife. This year was no exception. We have had both of these girls in our youth group since they were 7th graders. Last night we watched them cross the stage and receive their high school diplomas. We are so excited for them to experience college, but we are so sad to see them go. They have grown up right before our eyes and have definitely become part of our extended family. We love you Morgan and Leah!

As you can see from these pictures, Levi was really excited about graduation:)

Happy Summer!

Best Friends.

I took this picture while we were winding down the other night. Is it not just the sweetest thing? Looks like these two are well on their way towards becoming best friends.

First Swim!

It is Memorial Day weekend and we have started it off right. First of all, I fed Levi at about 6:00 am this morning, he went right back to sleep and I slept until almost 9 am. It. Was. Wonderful. I needed a good sleep in day. After the 4 of us all got up and started moving we decided to go for a run. We called it quits after about two miles because it was just too hot to run and push the boys. About half way through our run we decided we needed a pool to jump in so we called some good friends and they graciously let us borrow their pool for an hour or so. We got home, changed into our suits and headed to the pool! Asher was talking a big game about the pool until we got there and he decided he wasn't so sure anymore. He warmed up to it just in time for us to leave...typical:) This was Levi's first swim! He did so good! He really is just an easy going little guy. Here are some pictures of our first swim of the 2012 season...hopefully there will be more days like this to come!

Smiley guy.

A few close ups of the cutie.

Levi and Daddy having a serious talk about swim safety or Alabama football...who knows.
One happy mommy.

Looks like a happy daddy too.

Asher just wanted to make sure the doggy stayed on the other side of the fence. He is his mommy's son.

Asher decided to strip down to his diaper before we left. He must have been worried about tan lines. (Yes, I had sunscreen on him including his head.)
Ready for summer and more fun days like today!

Allyson:)
