Santa! I know him!!!

This was the first Christmas morning since Mark and I have been married that we actually spent it in our own house, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Asher is just starting to understand the concept of  "Santa" and presents...kinda. Asher's big Christmas present from Mommy and Daddy came a few weeks ago. He got his very own big boy room with new paint, a new big boy bed, and plenty of room to house all of his big boy toys. He got to open 3 small presents on Christmas morning from Santa.
If you know Asher, you know that he can't really start any morning without a nice big glass of "dilk" which in any other language would be the same as milk. He loves his dilk, and can't really function without it. He is kind of like a coffee addict that will not talk to anyone in the morning without a glass of coffee in their hands. This dilk really made opening that first present hard since he was only working with one hand:)
As you can see, he did make some progress... I am pretty sure Santa gave him a new Christmas outfit to wear to church in this box...isn't Santa thoughtful?
Once the milk was finished, we made some real progress with present #2.

Well, kind of...he wasn't really into ripping the paper and just throwing it on the ground. He wanted to put it in the trash. He got over that really fast once he realized he had 2 new movies in there. Asher loves opening DVD's, opening the DVD player, putting them in, and pushing play.
The best part of watching Asher open up presents was his reaction. As he was opening anything, he always paused to say "wwwwwooooooowwwww!" He knew he was supposed to be excited, and we appreciated the effort!
He was really excited about this one...new monster trucks!
We just love this kid!
After we opened our gifts, we sat down to eat some yummy cinnamon rolls together.
All in all, it was a great morning, followed up by a great Christmas morning service with our church family. After church we hit the road and headed for Ohio! More Christmas stories and pictures to come later this week.

Happy New Year!
P.S...Asher's brother will be here this year:) YAY!
